Wordless Wednesday: Feeling Nostalgic

Dylan’s iPhone Cache

Some pictures from Dylan’s new iPhone…
Poor Moses, Ada’s ugliest, “living doll.”
I went to Kansas City, MO, for a school trip at the beginning of January and the girls got to stay home and have quality Daddy-time. They took many a walk:
They also sent me pictures because this Mama was a bit homesick.
 I love these two.
And my Cry Baby.
My Mom bought Ada this dress-gown for Christmas and she got a makeup kit from Grandma Sheila. This is what happens when 3 (at the time) year olds and such nefarious pieces mix. Dylan and I like to think it’s some sort of Bride-of-Chuckie-esque costume (not the “booootyful princess Ada” that we’ve been inundated with).
Lounging at home with the fam.

We’re a pretty good looking bunch if I do say so myself.

Happy 2009!

We bid 2008 adieu with Brian, Britney, Becky, Steve, Salty & Moses (Ada couldn’t man up and went to bed at 7 pm). We feasted on fondue and chocolates, all the while watching the ball drop…twice. To top off the wild night, we played a cut throat game of contemporary Yahtzee that Britney suspiciously won at the last minute.

We look forward to a new year and all the possibilities that it brings.
What does that mean? We don’t know.
But we look forward to finding out.

The First Exciting Post

We decided to open this blog for our friends and family who are far away and want to keep updated on the exciting and mundane events in our lives. Recently, there has been quite a bit of happenings as we got our first dog, Moses, in April ’07, our first “grown up” car in July ’07, our first daughter, Ada, on February 14, 2008, and soon Dylan’s college degree in August ’08. We are blessed to have you all who care about us enough to slog through this blog of ours and are thankful every day for your support and love.

With that said, we decided that the first entry should re-introduce you to The Dachtlers.

Ada Bailey Dachtler

Born February 14, 2008 at 11:06 am

Our daughter was 7 lbs. and 0.7 oz. and 21 inches when she came into this world. She was born via emergency C-section and is thriving. At her two month appointment, she weighed 12 lbs. 8 oz., almost doubling her birth weight! Needless to say, she loves to eat and play with her Mommy and Daddy. She also loves seeing her aunt, uncles and grandparents whenever she can.

So anyway, we hope you enjoy the pictures. Check back sometime soon for some more posts (as we get a hang of this blogging business that is)!
