An End Into Another Beginning

I had all these random pictures on my camera from our last days in Idyllwild and also of some of the first days in Grand Forks so I thought I’d share them with you.

This one is from when KT and The Grecian came to visit.

The mountainous ones are Dylan’s when he hiked up one of our lovely backyard mountains.

We went to the Farmers’ Market in Redlands with Mom and Dad the night they got into town. Mom had been there before but Dad had never gotten the opportunity. It was fun, we ate a lot of yummy food that we’ll miss and bought our last batches of extra cheap cherries and strawberries. Delicious.

For whatever reason, I didn’t take that many pictures our last week/end. I guess I probably know the reason.

Ada said goodbye to Idyllwild and the crazy mountains and dusty, dusty southern California landscape.

I’m pretty sure she had no clue that we were leaving and I’m pretty sure she has no clue now that we’ll be moving again (albeit in the same city at least).

I wonder if she’ll remember anything about California…other than what we tell her anyway or what she sees in pictures. Maybe a faint remembrance of dust and hospitals.
Maybe of strawberries and crowded Farmers’ Markets.
Or maybe of the salty breeze off the ocean.

It’s funny the things that we retain for later in life.
